Ellie Oliver, a recent Portland transplant, finds herself adrift and desperate for money after losing her dream job in animation and experiencing a betrayal. She agrees to a marriage of convenience with Andrew, the landlord of the coffee shop where she works, to alleviate her financial woes. However, things get complicated when Andrew's new fiancée turns out to be the mysterious woman Ellie fell for over the course of one magical Christmas Eve the year before.
